Windfinder provides wind, wave and weather forecasts. Windfinder specializes in wind, waves, tides and weather reports & forecasts for wind related sports, such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, surfing, sailing, fishing or paragliding.

  • This forecast is based on the GFS Model.
  • The horizontal resolution is about 13 km.
  • Forecasts are computed four times each day, at about 10:00 PM, 4:00 AM, 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM PDT.
  • Predictions are available in time steps of three hours for up to 10 days into the future.
  • The arrows point in the direction in which the wind is blowing.

Windfinder uses knots (nautical miles), meters, and degrees Celsius for unit measures. These units are standard for sailors, kiters, surfers, windsurfers and paragliders around the world.
